New Zealand is literally the land of opportunities for skilled labor as the country is dearth of skilled personnel and this can be of a great boon for students with good academic skills set.
Part time employment opportunities
There is hardly any trouble for international students to find part time jobs during their course of education. Usually the pay scale is around NZ$11 per hour. Students enrolled for an authorized program in any of the institutions from New Zealand can work for 20 hours in a week. However, this can be extended to 40 hours a week during summer vacations.
Full time employment opportunities
There’s not much hassle when it’s about New Zealand’s visa grants. As soon as a student finishes his academic program, he is eligible to apply for a temporary job search visa which holds for 1 year where he can work for full time.
Upon finishing the 1 year job search visa and by then if he is employed, a 2 year work visa will be granted which can be later extended into Permanent Residency option.
